Severe Lower Back Pain and Chronic Sciatica?

Return to an Active, Pain Free Life with SpinePro

SpinePro, in partnership with CCV Montpellier, provides total lumbar disc replacement to permanently relieve chronic symptoms of degenerative disc disease and severely herniated discs by replacing diseased intervertebral discs with Prodisc® L artificial discs in a single, minimally invasive procedure.

It is the only procedure to fully restore spinal mobility and offers the lowest risk of nerve damage, as the spine is approached through a small abdominal incision.

SpinePro is pleased to provide an expert clinical assessment for clients under the care of musculoskeletal (MSK) clinicians or individuals seeking independent advice, provided they meet the criteria of our eligibility checker.

Lowest Risk, Shortest Recovery

The Most Effective Treatment for Degenerative Disc Disease and Herniated Discs

After more than 225,000 procedures, Prodisc® L total lumbar disc replacement is clinically proven to be the lowest risk, most-effective treatment for degenerative disc disease and severely herniated discs, permanently relieving symptoms such as chronic sciatica and severe lower back pain.

Spinal Fusion vs Prodisc® L

Spinal Fusion

An Outdated, Risky Approach

Spinal fusion comes with significant risks due to its proximity to spinal nerves and the prolonged recovery times as paraspinal muscles are disrupted. Spinal mobility is permanently compromised, which often leads to problems with adjacent intervertebral discs in later life.

Prodisc® L

Lowest Risk. Shortest Recovery Time. Negligible Complications

Unlike spinal fusion, Prodisc® L artificial discs are positioned through a small incision in the abdomen, completely avoiding spinal nerves, resulting in the lowest risk of complications such as numbness, paralysis, or tingling.

Safely Restore Spinal Mobility & Strength for an Active, Pain-Free Life

Prodisc® L was designed to mimic a natural intervertebral disc. Following a minimally invasive procedure and three months progressive recuperation, spinal mobility and strength are fully restored providing permanent relief from severe lower back pain and sciatica.

Most patients return to work within 4 weeks and resume moderate exercise after 8 weeks. Prodisc® L’s ability to fully restore spinal mobility normally enables a return to sports and strenuous activities within one year.

Why SpinePro, CCV, and Prodisc® L

Shortest recovery time with a hospital stay of only 3 nights. Patients take a short walk on the day of the procedure and spend 5 days recuperating in a nearby hotel with daily nursing visits.

Musculoskeletal Clinicians and SpinePro

SpinePro regards the role of musculoskeletal (MSK) clinicians as vital, both before total lumbar disc replacement surgery and afterwards during rehabilitation.

MSK clinicians have a comprehensive understanding of your clinical history, functional limitations before surgery, and rehabilitation aims.

If you are an MSK clinician, please see our dedicated page for more details: Information for MSK clinicians.

Whilst SpinePro accepts clinical referrals directly from patients and their family members, it’s unlikely that individuals are far enough along their treatment pathway if they are not already under the care of an MSK clinician or do not have an accurate diagnosis of their condition (such as a recent MRI scan of their lumbar spine).

SpinePro’s mission is to help those suffering from severe lumbar back pain and/or chronic sciatica fully regain their mobility and return to an active, pain-free life. However, the role of the MSK clinician should not be underestimated.

Clinical Assessment

SpinePro is pleased to provide an expert clinical assessment for clients under the care of musculoskeletal (MSK) clinicians or individuals seeking independent advice, provided they meet the criteria of our eligibility checker.

If you have been diagnosed with a herniated disc and are suffering from chronic sciatica or severe lower back pain, SpinePro can provide an accurate prognosis of your condition from an expert CCV surgeon in just a few clicks.

You will receive an initial diagnosis and confirmation of your suitability for Prodisc® L total lumbar disc replacement within five working days of entering your details, subject to us receiving a recent lumbar MRI scan. In some cases, a lumbar CT scan is also required for an accurate diagnosis.

Please contact us to discover how we return people to an active, pain-free life.
